So, Monday we went down to Financial Aid at Fanshawe for Shane's OSAP. What a waste of time and parking fees that was. They didn't bother to check to see if the loan paper information matched what they had on the system so that meant re-scheduling till Sep 3...I made a suggestion abt Quality Control...
The rest of the day, we went shopping. Got a lot of great stuff for the freezer. I froze up a pail of blueberries and yesterday I froze up some more brocolli and cauliflower. We had Jason and Cynthia Powell for supper with their little girls Liberty and Haley. They had a good time with Heidi and Angel. We had hotdogs, Thai Salad, Caribbean Rice, Potatoes, BBQ chicken, cob on the corn, watermelon, tomatoe&cucumber salad, raw baby carrots and icecream cones for dessert. After dinner, I put on some scripture story vids for the girls while we all chatted and got to know each other better. Jason joined the church while attending university and went on a mission. He was an auto-worker but now is going back to school to finish his nursing. Cynthia joined the church at the age of 4 with her mom. And she filled in for me a couple times in Relief Society to teach. A very nice family.
For FHE (Family Home Evening) we went over our list for our 72 hour emergency kit trial trip. It's exhilarating! (Shane is a little nervous - me too) Today, we are pulling out the rest of the seats and completing the packing. Tomorrow, we will shop for more freezer stuff and freeze it up as the sales end and that's when we get paid. Even though we will be at home for this first bit we will only use what is in our kits. We made up a grocery doc that adds up our spending so we can keep track of it. It's pretty cool.
This morning, I spent working on Primary stuff but my document is doing some funny things. Thinking it's a glitch in MS Word somewhere? Or something in the file that keeps changing my margins. No virus as I have scanned and re-scanned. But I will put it aside for now and deal with it later.
Oh! Rochelle called last night and her appeal to EI (employment insurance) for maternity leave was approved! Yah!! Jocelyn called me from Rochelle's as she was babysitting Annika and I got to sing her to sleep over the phone.
I'm off for lunch so we'll chat later.
